WORST REBRANDING - DISLIKE

That logo is awful, it looks like it belongs to a technology company.

I like it, but then again I’m just a consumer, not a graphic designer.

Well if there’s anything to be said about consumers (and humanity in general) is that we’re adaptable. I can’t have the foresight how this logo will look ten years from now, but the sans-serif font and gradient usage on the the minimalist square make it look too sterile, too produced rather than made. I also don’t shop at the GAP, ever, so my opinion is based on the existing identity and window shopping.

I usually browse the Gap and decide that most of their clothes are dumb. I’m hoping the new logo means they’ll quit making dumb clothes.
